Autumn 2018: Advent Concert and Handel’s Messiah

Rehearsals for the autumn term start on Tuesday 11 September at 7-30pm in Temple Methodist Church Hall, Taunton and are held at this time every Tuesday.

We will be rehearsing for our Advent concert, to be held at St John’s Church, Taunton on Sunday 18 November, as well as Handel’s Messiah, St Mary Magdalene Church, Saturday 1 December 2018.  A detailed timetable will be published at the start of term.

Potential new members are very welcome to come and learn more about us. Scores will be available for loan.

Attendance

We hope that members will attend at least 75% of rehearsals.  Please mark any planned absences on the attendance register in advance and keep Gail informed if you are unexpectedly unable to attend.

Subscriptions

The annual subscription is £100 (£10 for students), and is due at the beginning of September. This includes the cost of music hire. If this would be a problem for you, please speak to our Treasurer in confidence. We always do our best to help.

Payment can be made by cheque to Taunton Choral Society or by bank transfer (HSBC, Sort Code 40-44-04, a/c no. 21335936, noting your name in the reference box).  If you are a UK taxpayer, a Giftaid declaration will enable the Society to claim back £25 from HMRC on your behalf.  If you are able to donate any additional amount to the Society, this would be most welcome.
