About us

Taunton Choral Society is the largest and oldest choir in Taunton. We perform a range of choral works in four-part harmony, both religious and secular, and we welcome new members. We love to share our music making and usually perform three concerts a year.

We may also be available for weddings or other functions (depending on other commitments) – please contact us for further details.

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30pm in Temple Methodist Church Hall from September through to May or June. Membership is open to all but it does help if you can read music or have a good ‘ear’. The Music Director may ask you to perform a voice test but this is more to see which part would suit. So if you enjoy singing, whether you have experience or not, why not consider coming along to join us? There is a questions and answers page if you’d like to find out more or fill in an Membership Contact Details form and email it to our secretary.
